Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Synced platform, website, API, MCP server, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Synced ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Synced provides AI-powered meeting scheduling tools, including:

  • Cross-company calendar overlay and availability heatmaps
  • Meeting scheduling with AI-recommended time slots
  • Booking links with short URLs for external scheduling
  • Trusted contacts network for recurring collaborators
  • REST API for programmatic scheduling
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for AI assistant integration
  • Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook integration

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google or Microsoft account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity under your account, including any use of your API keys or MCP server credentials. Notify us immediately at carlos@meetsynced.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Synced app settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data and calendar data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts, calendars, or data without authorization
  • Share API keys publicly or embed them in client-side code
  • Use automated systems to scrape data or abuse the API beyond rate limits
  • Send spam, phishing, or unwanted meeting invitations through the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Resell access to the Service without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. API & MCP Usage

5.1 API Access

The Synced API is available on all plans. You must authenticate using a valid API key. API keys should be kept confidential and stored securely (e.g., environment variables).

5.2 Rate Limits

API requests are subject to rate limits. Current limits are documented in our API documentation. We may adjust rate limits at any time.

5.3 MCP Server

The Synced MCP server enables AI assistants to access scheduling functionality on your behalf. By configuring the MCP server, you authorize AI assistants to read your availability, manage contacts, and schedule meetings using your account. You remain responsible for all actions taken through the MCP server.

6. Calendar Data & Permissions

By connecting your Google or Microsoft calendar, you grant Synced permission to read your calendar events and create/modify events on your behalf for scheduling purposes. You can revoke these permissions at any time by:

  • Disconnecting your calendar in the Synced app settings
  • Revoking access through your Google Account or Microsoft Account security settings

We comply with Google's API Services User Data Policy and Microsoft's terms for Graph API usage.

7. Pricing & Payment

7.1 Free Tier

The Synced Free tier provides unlimited scheduling, booking links, trusted contacts, MCP integration, and API access at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce usage limits on the free tier with reasonable notice.

7.2 Enterprise Tier

The Enterprise tier is billed at $5 per user per month. Enterprise features include admin consent for org-wide calendar access, team availability dashboards, SSO/SAML authentication, and priority support. Payment is processed monthly.

7.3 Changes

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Synced and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

You retain ownership of your data (calendar events, meeting data, contacts). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synced shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Synced harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that should survive termination (liability, indemnification, intellectual property) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
